What is required of the faculty mentor?

The faculty mentor (must be a Health Sciences Faculty Member) outlines the specific parameters of the training with each research trainee by determining the training beginning and end dates, the hours and days per week, the program goals, and specific learning objectives.  There are no restrictions with regard to time of year (summer, academic year, calendar year) during which the trainee can participate.  The specifics of the training will appear on the required forms.

The faculty mentor will ensure that the required forms and liability documents have been submitted prior to the start of the experience. All forms should be completed and returned to Katie Rossi.

Are there any requirements or restrictions I should be aware of with respect to having undergraduate students or medical students volunteer in my lab?
